Thermoplastic Centrifugal Pumps
More Information
Vanton manufactures heavy duty horizontal centrifugal pumps with designs that took advantage of the superior chemical inertness, abrasion resistance, low weight and precision moldability of plastics. The Vanton line of Chem-Gard® centrifugal pumps delivers flows up to 1450 GPM at discharge heads to 280 feet and temperatures to 275°F. The unique power frame provides a wide open seal area and retractable bearing for ease of maintenance and unlimited choice of mechanical seals. |
 |
These pumps are available to ANSI B73.1 process industry standards, as well as to ISO/DIN standards. With the experience gained from horizontal centrifugals, we subsequently developed a dependable line of vertical thermoplastic pumps, having the same flow characteristics as the horizontals. These Sump-Gard® pumps are available for depths to 20 feet. A complementary series of "bearingless" cantilever pumps was designed, resulting in the most complete line of thermoplastic vertical pumps in the industry.
Vanton designers are dedicated to matching pumping needs with new developments in thermoplastics. It’s no wonder that the prestigious members of the Chemical Engineering product Research Panel named Vanton their first choice in thermoplastic pumps by a 5 to 1 margin over our closest competitor. When performance, design, experience and personalized service are critical, there is no "or equal" to a Vanton...the pump professionals prefer.

Providing a gentle, pumping action that eliminates churning or foaming, the pump moves fluid without having it come in contact with any metallic parts. The pump’s operation is based on the fluid traveling between the interior wall of a rugged themoplastic body block and the outer wall of a flexible, elastomeric liner. A rotor mounted on an eccentric shaft rotates within the flexible liner creating a squeegee action on the fluid, thereby forcing it in the desired direction. |

| SGL-Giraffe More Information |
|
|
| The Vanton SGL-Giraffe® pump is 29 feet tall. Its new,
unique design now makes it economically
feasible to build all-plastic, vertical, centrifugal pumps for sumps up
to 50 feet deep. Since no metal ever contacts the fluid being pumped, it
is ideal for handling a wide variety of corrosive and abrasive liquids
and slurries.
These new Vanton pumps feature modular, segmented shaft and column
construction which substantially reduces shipping, installation and
maintenance costs. Available in PVC, CPVC, PP and PVDF, with semi-open,
closed or "Vortex" recessed impellers, they are rated for
flows to 1450 GPM, heads to 280 feet and temperatures to 275° F. |
