Moyno has spent 70 years pioneering progressing cavity pumps
that deliver superior performance and long life. Moyno Pumps provide
operating efficiency, dependability and versatility in handling a wide
range of applications from shear-sensitive polymers to high abrasive,
solids laden slurries.
Moyno offers a broad array of pump sizes, material
selections and drive train configurations to handle applications in the
following industries: chemical, food, pharmaceutical, pulp & paper,
water & wastewater treatment, petrochemical, mining, adhesives and
others.

The new Moyno Netlink® System provides on-line order capabilities from nearly 40 Moyno distributor’s inventories through- out North America. Additionally, we are a
designated Factory Certified Service Facility for pump repairs and maintenance
training as needed. In our 32,300 sq. foot facility, we carry over $1 million in
inventory of genuine Moyno pumps and replacement parts for immediate shipment to
our customers.
How a Progressing Cavity Pump Works:
Although the geometry of its pumping elements
may seem complex, the principle of operation upon which the progressing cavity
pump is based is deceptively simple. Available in either a 1:2 or 2:3 ratio
configuration, Moyno progressing cavity pumps' key components are the rotor and
stator. The rotor is an external helix with a round cross-section, precision
machined from high-strength steel. The stator is an internal helix molded of
tough, abrasion-resistant elastomer, permanently bonded within an alloy steel
tube. The stator always has one more helix than the rotor to facilitate the
progressing cavity pumping action. As the rotor turns within the stator,
cavities are formed which progress from the suction to the discharge end of the
pump, conveying the process fluid. The continuous seal line between the rotor
and the stator helices keeps the fluid moving steadily at a fixed flow rate
proportional to the pump's rotational speed. |
