Georgia Iron Works

GIW Industries, Inc.

A Member of KSB Worldwide Pump and Valve Group

Right in our backyard! GIW was the first centrifugal slurry pump manufacturer and the first white-iron foundry to earn the coveted ISO 9001 certification in North America.

Beginning as a small foundry and machine shop in Augusta, Georgia in 1891, GIW grew and in 1914 began manufacturing slurry pumps. Today the company is comprised of two manufacturing plants, one in Grovetown, Georgia and the other in Thomson, Georgia. Their foundries and machine shops are used for manufacturing and assembling pumps and for casting a variety of abrasion and corrosion-abrasion-resistant alloys and polyurethane elastomers. GIW also has it’s own metallurgical laboratory and hydraulic test laboratory.

Carl Eric Johnson, Inc. covers the State of Georgia and the counties of Aiken, Barnwell, and Edgefield (kaolin only) in South Carolina selling the GIW line of slurry pumps, pump parts, industrial castings, valves, urethane and contract testing in the industrial and municipal marketplaces.

Carl Eric Johnson, Inc. embraces GIW’s vision in their commitment to customer satisfaction by providing quality products and services on time.
