Weco® Butterfly Valves, Operators & Actuators
Weco
Butterfly Valves provide dependable on/off and throttling services from absolute vacuum
to 175 psi cold working pressure. These economical valves are available
from stock in 2- through 24-inch sizes. Wafer, notched, and lug-type
body styles meet ASTM and AISI standards. All sizes and styles can be
equipped with Weco operators or actuators.

Notes:
- Weco Butterfly Valves are equipped with
nitrile seats which have operating temperature range of -20°F to
200°F. For information on other trims and applications send for Weco Butterfly Valve Catalog and Materials Selection Guide.
- Weco Butterfly Valves can be ordered with
either standard or throttling handles, gear operators, chain-wheel
operators, pneumatic actuators, or vane-type actuators.
- Stem extensions are available in lengths to
12 feet.
- Standard and throttling handles are not
recommended for 8-inch or larger valves.
- Standard and throttling handles not
available for 14-inch and larger valves.
- 14- to 24-inch sizes limited to 150 psi (10
bar) working pressure, available with gear or chain-wheel operators
only.
- 14- and 16-inch sizes are available in long
neck configuration only.
Valve body is pressure
containing component:
Weco Butterfly Valves feature a resilient seat with two-piece hard
phenolic back-up. This unique design allows the seat to expand under
pressure, making the valve body the pressure containing component.
No flange gaskets
required:
The ribbed seat face eliminates the need for flanged gaskets and insures
leak-proof installation.
Triple seal design:
FMC's triple seal design provides three completely independent seals to
isolate the stem from line fluid.
Weco dual stem
advantage:
A dual stem with upper and lower tangential pins and broached hex drive
provide positive disc movement without in line pins, screws, or bolts.
This design keeps all stem parts out of the flow path and results in a
streamlined disc for greater flow efficiency. |
